Audition
The SNYO conducts three auditions a year to recruit members. All applicants have
to audition for membership. They are required to play two contrasting pieces.
Competition is keen and only very competent and talented students are accepted.
The end result is an orchestra, which exhibits a high level of performance
skills.
The dates of the auditions are:
10 March 2012 | 25 August 2012 | 17 November 2012
All applications are welcomed at anytime in the year. However, auditions are
scheduled only if there are vacancies for the particular instrument that you
wish to be auditioned for.
The Music Director, Resident Conductor and tutors of the SNYO will conduct the
auditions. Successful applicants (Singapore Citizens/PRs), with the exception of
violinists and cellists, may be emplaced on the SNYO Instrumental Tuition
